Had a super strange issue the other day and decided to blog it.
Had a Aruba 6300M (and other models) that would not show online in central, and would not go to “in-sync” status. After lots of checking normal things, internet/dns/time/certs/aruba-central status – all looked perfect.
Show aruba-central
Central admin state : enabled
Central connection status : connected
Central source : activate
Central source connection status : connected
I then checked CPU/Yang status
POCore# show system resource-utilization
System Resources:
Processes : 285
CPU usage(%) : 98
CPU usage(% average over 1 minute): 87
CPU usage(% average over 5 minute): 88
Memory usage(%) : 32
Open FD's : 2907
Storage 1: Endurance utilization = 0-10% (mmc-type-a), 0-10% (mmc-type-b), Health = normal
show system resource-utilization daemon yang-resolverd
Then: yang-resolverd 228% CPU
I checked to see if I could restart just the Yang service due to service interuptions - and you can.
I ran:
start-shell
sudo systemctl restart yang-resolverd
exit
Boom - now CPU is very low, and the yang percent is zero. All things are updated and connected back to central.
